Job Purpose

The Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure, ensuring its performance, availability, security, and cost-efficiency. The role involves provisioning, configuring, and monitoring cloud resources, implementing security policies, troubleshooting issues, automating operations, and keeping up to date with the latest cloud technologies and trends. The Cloud Systems Administrator also provides technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders on cloud services and solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure and services, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Provisioning, configuring, and monitoring cloud resources, such as virtual machines, storage, databases, networks, and firewalls.
  • Implementing and enforcing security policies and best practices for cloud environments.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving cloud-related issues and incidents.
  • Automating cloud operations and processes using scripts and tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Optimizing cloud performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders on cloud services and solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other support staff, contributing to their skills development.
  • Managing and maintaining the IT systems administration for Windows servers and clients, such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, etc.
  • Create and update clear IT documentation, including system configurations and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate in IT initiatives, such as new application deployment or service migration.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in cloud administration, preferably with GCP and Azure certifications.
    • Proficient in cloud computing concepts and architectures, such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless, and hybrid cloud.
    • Familiar with cloud services and features offered by GCP and Azure, such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Vision, Cloud ML, Cloud IAM, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cloud Billing, Virtual Machines, Disk Storage, Azure SQL Database, App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Container Instances, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Cost Management, etc.
    • Skilled in scripting languages and tools, such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
    • Knowledgeable in cloud security principles and practices, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, firewall, VPN, etc.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new skills and technologies. Working Conditions
      • Productively work in a hybrid work environment which consists of 2 mandatory "all-in" days, 1 variable day, and 2 virtual days. Hybrid work environment is applied per position/department and may be subject to change per changes in the Policy.

      • On-call rotation and continuous support of internal SageNet customers
      • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements

        • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
        • Consistent use of hands and fingers for typing

        • Consistent use of eyes to analyze monitoring applications, spreadsheets, ticketing systems and web on computer screen
