Regional Operations Director, US Renewable Generation you will
provide management direction to ENGIE North America (ENGIE NA)
renewable generation projects. In this role, you will be
responsible for management and oversight of assets, including
responsibility to ensure safety, superior operational performance,
profitability, contract compliance, decision making and problem
solving, regulatory compliance, legal interface, guidance and
direction to Regional and Site Managers, and monitoring plant
activities. You will actively promote a safety-minded working
environment and safety programs consistent with the ENGIE NA Health
and Safety Principle and ENGIE's global governance initiatives. On
a daily basis you will set objectives for the team in alignment
with ENGIE NA strategic plan and maintain a record of their
performance through regular evaluations and make recommendations
for merit increases and incentive pay. Every day you will monitor
the day-to-day operation, maintenance, fiscal, and administrative
functions of each operating facility.The Regional Operations
Director will optimize plant technical performance through
enhancements, upgrades and modifications to physical site
equipment. You are expected to improve plant financial performance
through modifications to contracts, reflecting changes in market
design or operating philosophy as well as apply emerging trends to
add value to existing and future ENGIE NA projects. You are
responsible for the oversight and direction of plant compliance
with company policies and procedures, governmental regulations,
Power Purchase contract compliance, operations and maintenance
agreements, annual operating plans, and good engineering practices
at each facility.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and
performance standards within boundaries of company policy and
procedures.
- Supporting the VP Field Operations in the hiring, termination,
and pay schedules for ENGIE NA operating facilities.
- Recommend the hiring, termination, and pay schedules for
Regional and Site Managers positions for approval by the VP Field
Operations and COO at ENGIE NA.
- Prepare and submit for review and approval annual and long term
strategic plans, budgets and periodic reports for ENGIE NA managed
facilities.
- Direct lender-required technical and budget review
programs.
- Identify and direct professional development of subordinates,
including identifying needs and supporting plans.
- Comply with all ENGIE NA policies and procedures.
- Interface with commercial organization to enhance
communications, outage decision making, dispatch decisions, metric
utilization, and plant capability to maximize economic performance
and/or optimize the sale of energy output from the facilities.
- Oversee the management of a portfolio of power generation
facilities as an independent power producer operating in regulated,
merchant, and PPA environments.What You'll Bring
- High school diploma/technical degree or equivalent education
where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership,
management, communication, organizational, operational and
prioritization skills.
- A minimum of ten (10) years' experience with demonstrated
leadership and management of staff.
- Working knowledge with Development, Operations, Maintenance,
Dispatch and Optimization of Wind and Solar Assets.
- In-depth knowledge of battery storage, wind and solar power
generating facilities, equipment and technologies.
- Proficiency with personal computer applications, in particular,
operational and financial modeling and budgeting.
- This is a field position that requires daily attendance at a
worksite including regular travel to client site(s).
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically 50% to visit
sites, company meetings, events and training.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record
with the ability to drive a company vehicle to sites, customers,
and company activities.
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with
respect to COVID vaccination and testing.
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and
safety policies.
- The position consists of 50% work indoors and 50% work
outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather
conditions.
- Could involve some lifting/up to 50lbs.CompensationSalary
Range: $166,900 - $255,070 USD annuallyThis represents the average
expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary
may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education,
internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. ENGIE complies

base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive
